A hard reset, also known as a factory reset, will delete all information on a device and restore the software back to it’s original manufacturer settings. A hard reset should only be done if absolutely necessary as it removes all data from your device. Follow this step by step guide on how to hard reset your LG Google Nexus 5X Unlocked is experiencing any of the following issues:
- Forgot your password
- Constant freezing
- Crashing applications
- Touchscreen Issues
- Can’t hear
- Can’t make or receive calls
- Sync issues
- Sound issues
Ensure that your LG Google Nexus 5X Unlocked is turned off by pressing the power button.
Press and hold the Volume Down button, for 2-3 seconds. Then press the Power Button, while still holding the Volume Down button.
Use Volume Down buttons to highlight the Recovery option and the Power button confirm.
When the Android Image is displayed, press and hold the Power button. Then press the Volume Up button while still pressing the Power Button to bring up the Android recovery screen.
Highlight and select wipe data/factory reset by using the Volume Down button to scroll and Power button to confirm. Then highlight and select Yes–delete all user data.
Finally highlight and select reboot system now to restart phone.
Congratulations! The device has been restored to factory defaults.
Power on your device by pressing the power button
From the Apps Menu go to Settings.
Click on Backup & Reset.
Find and select Factory Data Reset and then select Reset Phone.
Click on Erase Everything to confirm.
Congratulations! The device has been restored to factory defaults.
